The Legislative Committee monitors and analyzes legislative activities that impact fire safety regulations and practices within Kansas. This committee helps the Fire Marshal’s Association by developing advocacy strategies to influence policy changes and how to best represent the Association while submitting testimony to legislative bodies. The committee helps foster positive relationships with other stakeholders, including government agencies and allied organizations, to promote legislation that enhances fire safety measures. They also keep the Association’s members informed about pertinent legislative developments and coordinate grassroots campaigns when necessary.
